How is my SHOALO swimsuit made?
Artwork
We work with you to establish your requirements and create "mock ups" of your kit so you can get an idea of how your kit will look once produced
Cutting
White fabric is cut to the shape of the templates used for the style of suit(s) you have purchased
Printing (Sublimation)
Based on your artwork, your designs are printed onto coated heat-resistant transfer paper as a reverse image. The design is then transferred onto the fabric via a heat press operating at a temperature around 180 to 210 C (375 F). The heat of the press causes the dye to turn into a gas and permeate the fabric. As it cools the dye solidifies into fibres of the fabric.
The fabric is permanently dyed so it can be washed without damaging the quality of the your design
The main advantage of dye/print-sublimation over other methods is that once done, it does not peel or fade.
Another advantage is colour definition, which is excellent due to the bonding of the dye to the transparent fibres of the fabric. Using this method also allows for your design to cover the whole swimsuit.
